Hello. I'm Jeff Shiver, Managing Principal of People and Processes.

We often hear the term Toolbox Training but what is Toolbox Training? It's just a simple session where you get people gathered around the shop area, maybe it's a work bench, maybe it's around the toolboxes or whatever. The goal is you're teaching something simple, 30 minutes or less.

That might be something like laser alignment, how to use shift gauges or a belt tension spring. You really want to schedule these roughly two, three, four weeks apart. The goal is it's just a simple, short training session, almost like a one-point lesson. Here's how you do something specifically.

The maintenance guys really like this because it's an opportunity for them to enhance their skills and it's a way you can get consistency across the board. Engage in Toolbox Training sessions. Don't leave them out. Get them scheduled. Thanks. Have a great day. I'm Jeff Shiver, managing principal of People and Processes.
