Planning and Scheduling

Planning and Scheduling is a central component or the hub of a proactive reliability centered culture. Effective planning, scheduling and the coordination of maintenance activities are the major components of achieving the objectives of Best Practices, and are typically responsible for the majority of your overall cost savings and your Return On Investment (ROI). Studies continue to prove that every dollar spent planning and scheduling saves three to seven dollars in execution. The challenge for many smaller organizations is to keep the Planner Scheduler strategically focused on the future. Too often, the reactive chaos is allowed to pull the Planner Scheduler into the tactical today such as shagging parts for the Supervisor who by nature is focused on today.

In addition to offering education in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, People and Processes provides coaching and mentoring for the Planner Scheduler position inside the organizational setting. The benefit to this approach is the ability to identify obstacles and barriers inside the organization that are preventing effective Planning and Scheduling activities.
