Course XI - Failure Modes Effects Analysis- 2 Days
Introduction
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a commonly used tool in Reliability – Centered Maintenance (RCM), Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PM, PMO), or Lean Six Sigma approaches to analyze the potential failure modes within a system for classification by severity or determination of the effect of failures on the system. It may be used in the manufacturing or service industries to detect errors or defects in a process, design, or item, especially regarding effects or defects affecting the customer. In two-day course on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, attendees learn the concepts and procedures to conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis in a hands-on setting using both equipment and processes for evaluation. In addition, attendees are exposed to various software tools that are available for use to help facilitate and document the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities. Those completing the two-day Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) course receive a certificate with 1.4 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) from the University of North Florida (UNF).
Who should attend:
Organizational personnel who are accountable for implementing process and equipment change, or maintaining equipment, to include Engineers, Maintenance Managers and Supervisors, Operations managers and Supervisors, and Maintenance or Reliability Engineers.
